Become a Digital Nomad and Enjoy Life in a True Sense
Becoming a digital nomad is as exciting as it seems though many haven’t yet understood the concept. Well, if you are wondering how a person can work sitting on a beach instead of enjoying the waves, swaying palms, swimming, playing other water sports and doing all that the ocean has to offer, you are quite right! Nobody can do that – those pictures are just for show off! Imagine how one can work when hot sands may destroy your laptop and you too become too hot to focus on your work.
But still the fact is that, a digital nomad can work online while traveling and earn money without having to get confined into an office room. Sometimes a digital nomad has to find a dark hotel room or a vacant beach bar with a good Wi-Fi network and also has to stay as far from tourists and tourist activities as possible in order to focus on the work. Still, s/he can travel to numerous amazing places, more than a regular office-goer can. Unlike a person employed in a 9 to 5 job who gets a typical 2-week vacation leave, a digital nomad can always enjoy a vacation leave while working and earning at the same time.
What Exactly is a Digital Nomad and Why is it Easy to Become One?
Actually there are multiple types of digital nomads and it’s not easy to define them in one way. However, one thing is common in all of them and that is they can spend most of the time traveling, keep changing their destinations and earn by working online.
Sometimes two terms ‘digital nomad’ and ‘location independent’ get mixed up; but you should remember that there is quite a big difference between the two. The fact is that not every digital nomad can make enough money to live and work ‘anywhere’ in the world. While you can lead a good quality life by earning less than $1000 per month, you have to restrict yourself to countries where cost of living is less. That way you can become digital nomad. But if you want to become location independent by having the liberty to spend days in pricey places like London, San Francisco or Munich, you will have to earn much more than that.
What Skills will You Need?
If you are disappointed with a thought that you don’t have any skill to work online, don’t! The good news is you have those skills. You can type and operate a PC, so you can start right away! Now you should just be able to find a job which you can do remotely. There are so many jobs available on freelancing sites; you just need to find them.
Once you create a base in such a way to become a digital nomad, sky is the limit for you – you can go anywhere and enjoy life in a true sense!
