Destination Wedding – The Bahamas
Are you looking for a really romantic way to declare your love for each other? Do you think a destination wedding would be a perfect choice for you? With pink or white sand beaches, breathtaking cays, beaches, reefs, gardens and breathtaking blue skies, the Bahamas make perfect choice to tie the knot. Do you need some more convincing? We’ve asked the Bahamas wedding photographer, Mark Winder (check out Mark Winder Photography) to give us a few more reasons why couples should get married there.
Ideal Wedding Setting
Mesmerizing beaches in the Bahamas with colorful corals on white sands make a perfect backdrop to your wedding ceremony. After exchanging your vows you can sail away into the sunset on a beautiful catamaran. A white wedding limo is so boring, isn’t it?
In case you’re looking for a tropical feel, the Gardens of the Grove and Nassau Botanical Gardens will give your wedding exactly that. With bougainvillea, hibiscus and oleander in abundance, your wedding ceremony would be amazing there. On the other hand, on Paradise Island there is the Augustinian Cloister from the 14th century with stunning gardens that resemble those from the Palace of Versailles; this setting is utterly romantic!
It comes as no surprise that in the Bahamas you can tie the knot underwater. But, did you know that dolphins can take part in your wedding ceremony too? A dolphin can even be the ring bearer! Anyhow, these lovely ocean creatures can glide around you as you exchange your vows on the ocean floor! Beat that!
Relaxation and Fun
If you decide to spend a few days before and/or after your wedding in the Bahamas, you can rest assured you won’t get bored. In fact, there is a wide range of fun activities and fabulous hotels in Nassau Bahamas to make the first days of your marriage memorable. A snorkeling tour, a glass bottom boat adventure or parasailing for adventure seekers and a dinner cruise, sunbathing and swimming for those who need to relax a little bit. And there are so many other fun and relaxing things to do here!
Friendly, English Speaking People
People in the Bahamas are friendly, warm and they speak English with a lovely distinctive lilt. You won’t have troubles making any arrangement and everyone around you will share joy and happiness with you.
Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get married in the Bahamas. Of course, you should shop around for the best wedding packages and deals, but don’t throw away an idea to have a wedding of your dreams just because you’re convinced it’s too expensive. You’ll be surprised, but it could prove to be less costly than a wedding ceremony at a fancy venue in your area.
Well, even if you choose another location for your destination wedding, I’m rather sure you’ll consider the Bahamas at least for a honeymoon!
