Dominican Republic – Visit to Witness What Paradise Is!
Whether the pristine Punta Cana beaches in the east or the paradisiacal Isla Saona beaches in the southeast, cloud-crowned Central Mountains peaks in the west or the verdant rainforests of Los Haitises on the north shore, the Dominican Republic awes tourists with its unmatched natural beauty. And therefore, tourists are attracted to this Caribbean country again and again to enjoy luscious fresh seafood, and meet iguanas on the saline lakes and gentle giant whales on the Samana coast.
All in all, the Dominican Republic is a tourist paradise and you should consider visiting it at least once if you haven’t yet. Book one of the best Dominican airport transfers, leave your luggage in your hotel and start exploring the country. Here are a few top attractions of the DR to help you begin.
If you are in the Dominican Republic, you can’t afford to miss Punta Cana. Perched on the extreme eastern tip of Hispaniola Island, Punta Cana is full of luxurious hotels and classy golf courses, bordered with lush fairways undulating along the Atlantic coast and infinity pools seemingly merging with gleaming Caribbean waters. And of course it offers plenty of beaches with silky sands, swaying palms and the sparkling white Arena Gorda!
Aquamundo Sambil Santo Domingo
If you have children with you or even if you haven’t, you shouldn’t miss Aquamundo Sambil which is a superb aquarium right in the centre of Santo Domingo where you can see the great variety of marine creatures occurring in the waters around the country and in the Carib waters. The most wonderful feature of the aquarium perhaps is the Shark Tunnel, a clear acrylic lane through a huge tank full of a number of shark species. Especially you should visit it at 4 pm which is the dinnertime for the sharks. So also, the Coral Garden, the reptile and insect exhibit as well as the Amazon, Ray and Touch exhibit are something you shouldn’t miss.
Located 10 miles east of La Romana at the country’s southernmost tip, Bayahibe encompasses the National Park and the lovely Saona Island. Here you can unwind, enjoy nature and taste fresh seafood. You can simply spend your time lazing out in the sun or go on a Stand-up Paddling excursion or guided kayaking tour or go snorkeling or diving in the crystal clear waters. The National Park is a known site where endangered sea turtles nest. You can even go on enchanting guided walks which will take you to many historic sites and also a cave with petroglyphs by the ancient Tainos tribes.
& there are a lot more! If you want to truly enjoy them, you should visit the charming country in person and witness what paradise is!
