Lago di Garda, Italy
May and June are the perfect months for an European city break. Italy is one of the most attractive countries and it is hard to choose which city of area should you visit first, but now we will try to introduce you Lake Garda or Lago di Garda in Italian. This isosceles triangle shaped lake resembles somehow an inland sea. The diversity of activities Lago di Garda offers, made it one of the most developed lakes and even if there are many accommodation options, you should book ahead where to stay. Lake Garda weather is incredible throughout the year and summer months are lovely, but it is recommended to avoid July and August (especially 1st-15th of August!). Visit here in spring or early autumn and you will have a relaxing holiday with so many lovely ancient cities and villages to see.
Lake Garda’s popular destinations are Malcesine, Bardolino, Torri del Benaco, Lazise, Peschiera del Garda, Garda and Brenzone. To be honest, Lake Garda offers endless ideas for your vacation. Windsurfing and sailing made this lake very famous and popular all around the world, but there are even more sports you can do here. The water and the lovely diverse countryside make Lake Garda suitable for many outdoor activities. You can go horse riding if you want to discover some hidden corners of the area, you can go mountain biking or even relax by playing golf. And, of course, free climbing for those seeking that kind of thrill. If you have never tried free climbing before, here you can find some great free climbing schools with nice practice walls.
*Hotel Vicino Gardaland is an excellent place to stay while visiting this beautiful travel destination. It is located nearby the lake and Gardaland theme park. In the lovely restaurant you can taste incredible Italian cuisine, delicious dishes ranging from seafood specialities to authentic flavors of Monte Baldo.
