Paris Airport TransferParis is one of the most beautiful and also one of the most easily navigable cities in the world. The transportation is absolutely the best and comfortable. However if you are traveling to the city for the first time it’s easy to get daunted maybe because of the newness or language problem or any other factor. Here are some of the most popular transportation options available to get to Paris once you arrive at Charles De Gaulle Airport.

1. By Train

Train is one of the cheapest and easiest options for getting from CDG airport to Paris. This train is known as RER-B. It’s well-marked and you just have to follow the signs. You may get a free shuttle train or bus to the RER-B depending on your arrival terminal. Once you get there it’s easy to find where to go because of the markings.

Trains start running from 5 am but ticket windows open at around 6 am. If you have exact change you can use automated ticket machines. Hold on to your ticket because it will be required while exiting the RER and also while transferring to Metro.

The journey to arrive at Gare du Nord takes around half an hour. Some trains that take local halts may take a little longer. If you don’t want to waste time in that, look for express trains.

The RER-B will take many stations within Paris like Gare du Nord, Chatelet-Les Halles, Saint Michel Notre-Dame, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Denfert Rochereau and Cite Universitaire, each of which is linked to the Paris Metro (subway) and you can use the same RER ticket to transfer to the Metro for no extra cost.

2. By City Bus (Roissybus)

A convenient, affordable and comfortable bus is also provided by the city of Paris. It runs between the CDG Airport and the Paris Opera and is known as Roissybus. Tickets can be bought from any automated machines which are also present at each bus stop.

However, bus is not advisable unless you have plenty of luggage or you will be staying near the Opera.

3. By Taxi

A taxi is the most expensive option for airport transfer. Take only official taxis from the designated taxi stand. Most taxis accept credit cards but make sure before you get in.

4. By Private Vehicle

If you want to travel comfortably, traveling by a private vehicle is perhaps the best option for Paris Airport transfer. It’s convenient to book online or on telephone or even through live chat. They will confirm your ride by phone or email within 12 hours. When you will arrive at the airport, an excellent vehicle will be readily waiting for you with an English-speaking driver who will assist you with your luggage too.

So, you can choose the most convenient option for you. Do come, Paris is waiting for you!
