Traveling to Vegas is a must-do for some people. The sounds, the scenery and the fast paced lifestyle alone is amazing for anyone to see and experience.
Since it is a very popular destination, there are a few things that visitors can do in order to make their stay more enjoyable and less expensive. If you are planning a trip to Vegas in the future, use these tips to have the best possible time.
1. Go during the week.
The prices of hotel rooms and even flights are going to rise if you are staying over a weekend. If you go during the week, say from Tuesday to Thursday, you’re going to pay a lot less for a room and you’ll be able to find cheaper flights. Plus, the strip isn’t as crowded during the week as it is on the weekends, so you’ll be able to get into shows and casinos easier.
2. Don’t go in too deep.
Make sure that you stick to your budget if you plan on gambling. The worst thing that you can do is lose it all and then some. Make sure that you know your limit and stick to it. If you think you’ll have trouble doing that, make sure that you have a friend or family member carry your credit or debit cards so that you can’t continue to take out cash.
3. Get some sleep.
Since Vegas is partying all night long, you’ll easily lose track of time, but this doesn’t mean you should sacrifice your health for Vegas. Make sure that you sleep during your trip. Any amount of rest is better than none, and a good night’s sleep will keep you energized for all of the day (and night) activities.
4. Know the difference between hot women and prostitutes.
The streets and nightclubs of Vegas are lined with women looking to take men home, and plenty of men on the street are passing out flyers of half-naked women. If a barely dressed woman is hitting on you, don’t think that you’re lucky—she’s probably more interested in your wallet than your glowing personality or attractive body.

5. Sign up for a player’s card.
Player’s cards are free, and once you sign up for one (even if you don’t use it), the casinos and hotels will send you information for deals to try and entice you to come back by offering plenty of incentives.
6. Walk.
The Vegas strip is only 4.2 miles long, and most of the popular hotels and attractions are close to each other. If you’re in good shape, it’s better to walk from location to location. You can also opt to use public transportation if it’s easier for you. Just make sure that you don’t drive yourself. Not only is parking hard to find, but if you overindulge in the Vegas lifestyle, you shouldn’t be behind the wheel of a car.
7. Don’t stay too long.
Though Vegas is great, it’s best experienced in small doses. A three day/two night stay is a great way for you to take it all in without losing too much sleep (or too much money). Though there is a lot to see, a nice walk of the strip doesn’t take too long to do and is a great way for you to get a visual of all the hotels, bars and other attractions. You can also take a few minutes to walk into the more luxurious hotels, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit and gamble at each of them. Take a peek, and move on.
If you use these tips on your next trip to Vegas, you will easily see how the total cost for your trip can easily decrease. Receiving comps and freebies is a great way to take advantage of perks, and keeping an eye on the money you’re spending at the casino will certainly help ensure that you don’t go home completely and utterly broke.
