From lush green jungles to pristine sandy beaches, and from mighty waterfalls to delectable and fragrant coffee tours, Costa Rica offers something amazing for every type of tourist. Here are just a few things out of many that can tempt you to choose Costa Rica as your next holiday destination.
1. Tamarindo
Once you plan to book your vacation to Costa Rica and start wondering what to do there, Tamarindo can perhaps be your first place to visit. Costa Rica will give you a warm welcome in the form of the amazing Tamarindo beach with its great waves. This beach offers you every opportunity to party and play – you can swim, surf, fish, sail, play water sports and enjoy a buzzing nightlife! If you’re an animal lover, don’t forget to visit Las Baulas National Marine Park, where you can watch the gigantic leatherback sea turtles (Baulas). An excellent place to stay in Tamarindo is the luxurious Los Altos De Eros where you can enjoy all comforts and an exciting giveaway by Living Notes Travel Network. To add to the fun, there are several other beaches near Tamarindo such as Langosta Beach, Coconut Beach, Avellana Beach and Hermosa Beach where you raise your adrenaline by playing water sports or just relax and watch the beauty of sunset!
2. Cloud Forests
If you’re a fan of cloudy atmosphere, Costa Rica can be a heaven for you because it has plenty of Cloud Forests that are consistently covered with clouds and therefore are always humid. No wonder, they allow flora and fauna to thrive well. Some of the prominent cloud forests are Monteverde Rainforest, Los Angeles Cloud Forest, Central Highlands Cloud Forest (home to the wonderful La Paz Waterfall Gardens, wildlife exhibit and butterfly garden) and Bajas Del Toro Cloud Forest.
3. San Jose
If you’re more interested in art, architecture, history, museums and culture, visit the Costa Rican capital, San Jose! Walk down the Central Avenue, the downtown area, where you can visit a lot of shops, bars, restaurants and museums, and enjoy the performances of musicians and shopping at street vendors. Then there are the Gold Museum, the Jade Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art & Design, the National Museum, the San Jose Central Market, the National Theater and the Hacienda Espíritu Santo, a 600-acre coffee plantation and coffee tour destination.
4. Arenal Volcano
Leaping back on the lap of nature, you can find yourself wandering on and around the 1,633 meter high Arenal Volcano and its charming surrounding area containing the amazing La Fortuna town, La Fortuna Waterfall, Lake Arenal, Venado Caves and Cano Negro National Wildlife Preserve.
