If you haven’t yet visited Morocco, you must at once (of course, you must follow all the rules and regulations regarding the pandemic), otherwise, you might skip a treasure of touristic places and things. From exciting hiking and trekking adventures to relaxing souks, and from spellbinding beaches to delightful foods, Morocco has so much up its sleeve you can’t afford to miss. Here are only a few of them to evoke your interest.
1. Trekking in Atlas Mountains
It won’t be wrong to say that Morocco is known mainly for trekking in the Atlas Mountains. Morocco boasts of having Anti-Atlas, High Atlas, Middle Atlas and Tell Atlas inside it, that are the parts of this amazing mountain range. It also boasts of having the Toubkal Mountain inside it, which is the highest mountain of the Atlas Mountain range. Never forget your hiking shoes while coming to Morocco as you’re going to have one of the most fabulous experiences of your life, while exploring the Atlas Mountains. Don’t forget to explore the Toubkal National Park, get breathtaking views from the Tizi-n-Test Pass, and enjoy shopping in the souvenir shops and eating in restaurants in Imlil.
2. Rose Valley
If you’re one of those who love to get lost to nature, you should visit Rose Valley. This lovely valley offers some of the purest forms of nature in the form of greenery, deep blue waters, snow-clad Atlas Mountains and stretches after stretches of olive and fig trees! Not to mention, on top of it, gardens of pink roses, after which the valley has been named, are the jewel in the crown. Beware, once you get there, you may not wish to leave this colorful heaven!
3. Ouzoud Falls
If you’re fascinated by waterfalls, Ouzoud Waterfall located near Tanaghmelit village can be a treat for you. This is a jaw-dropping collection of several waterfalls that finally end up in the gorge of El-Abid River. Located around 150 km northeast of Marrakech, these falls have a beautiful path to reach them shaded by olive trees, so, you can imagine how delightful the journey might be! Equally beautiful are the surroundings of the falls, full of greenery, orchards, mills (in Berber language, Ouzoud means grinding) and a series of gorges of the El-Abid River. All in all, this is something you can’t afford to miss.
4. Arches of Legzira Beach
Although some of the arches at the beautiful Legzira Beach have collapsed, you should not hold yourself back from visiting this place, because it’s too beautiful to miss. Especially visiting at sunset will offer you spectacular views of the remaining gorgeous red cliffs and other arches.
5. Enjoy Moroccan Cities
Moroccan culture is interesting and to enjoy it, you’ll have to visit Moroccan cities like Rabat (Moroccan capital famous for its Royal Palace, Hassan Tower and Kasbah des Oudaias), Tangier (visit Tangier Casbah and Hercules Cave), Marrakech (El Badi Palace, Bahia Palace and souks), Blue Village of Chefchaouen (full of blue buildings) and many more!
And there is so much more, impossible to write about in this small article! I hope your curiosity has been aroused enough; so, when are you planning to visit Morocco?
