Theme-based Tourism – True Enjoyment of Vacation

Have you ever felt like not going on a vacation with your family or your regular group because you don’t enjoy a bit? Why does that happen? It’s because while checking the destination before going there, we plan to visit all the tourist spots there, which include all the monuments, museums, beaches, mountains, sanctuaries, and literally everything it has to offer as a tourist destination. We think that we won’t go there very often so we should have a chance to see everything. However, because of this the tour becomes just a sight-seeing tour without a true enjoyment. Therefore when I read about theme-based tours, I liked the idea very much.

What are Theme-based Tours?

A theme-based tour is of course a tour based on a particular theme. But what can be the theme? That is the most difficult part to decide. Think what do you like the most. Do you like water sports? Or do you like quiet strolls through green tea estates? Do you love to get lost in the narrow alleys of a medieval village or admire the ancient artifacts in museums? It is not necessary that you should like only one particular theme. You can love many things. But during one tour, you should enjoy only one activity. If this is done, your trip will be more sensible and pleasurable, instead of a mishmash of a lot of places, activities and things, not a single one of which you can enjoy properly.

How to Plan a Theme-based Tour?

First decide on the theme and then decide who will be your companions. The companions should have the same liking as of yours and should be ready to go as per the schedule without insisting for something else or extra. Once this is fixed, you can plan your tour around the theme, regarding what to do and where to go.

Plan for Extra Time

What if you get some extra time? Well, plan something taking each other’s opinion and take the benefit of the extra time to discover something. If this extra discovery is interesting, you can plan your next vacation around that theme.

Italy’s Countryside Cuisine and Wines – How about wandering through the magical green pastoral settings of Italy and enjoying the utterly delicious Italian dishes and the celebrated Italian wines? Here instead of hurriedly covering Italy’s big cities and other tourist spots, you can enjoy a more serene and restful excursions, and that will definitely be unforgettable.

Japan’s Cherry Blossoms – The cherry blossoms of Japan are world-famous. During the spring months, lots of cherry blossom tours are arranged in Japan which you can enjoy day and night. So, this time rather than hurriedly visiting Japan’s big names like Mount Fuji, Kamakura’s Great Buddha and Hiroshima together, and not enjoying any of them properly, enjoy the cherry blossom tours. You can visit the other places some other time.
