Usually we go on a holiday for sightseeing and activities. However, there are some places which are worth staying back and enjoy the luxurious accommodation. I am talking about an extremely comfortable and cozy hotel in the US Virgin Islands.
The place is Villa Marbella Suites & Hotel St Thomas USVI spread on an acre of lovely tropical lush landscapes, where you will be amazed by oceanic trade winds and stunning views, especially of the sunset. You will realize that sunsets are stunning when you choose the right villa islands location! You can see the fantastic pictures of the hotel in this article and many more on their site.
Sightseeing on Virgin Islands
Cinnamon Bay: It’s a mile long bay and is the biggest and best on St John. Life has been made easy and lavish with a variety of amenities, so, you just have to enjoy and relax. Along with that, you have an archeological museum too of Taino relics. You have plenty to enjoy in the water, thanks to the Water Sports Center where you get sailboats, windsurf boards, sea kayaks and standup paddleboards on rent. For land adventurers, there is also a trail that winds by the ruins of an old sugar factory!
Blackbeard’s Castle: This amazing 5-story masonry watchtower is perched atop Government Hill and is considered to be an 18th century lookout post of the pirate Blackbeard (Edward Teach). The top of the building gives stunning views of the harbor.
Protestant Cay: This cute little triangular cay, just less than 200 yards from Kings Wharf, is indeed a tiny oasis. There is a sandy beach and bars and restaurants. There is also the St Croix Water Sports Center where you can get snorkel gear, sailboats, kayaks and windsurfers on rent.

Cruzan Rum Distillery: Stop by Cruzan Rum Distillery to find out how the popular elixir of the islands is made. It’s a 20-minute tour through warehouses with stacked oak barrels smelling of gingerbread. After the tour you get to taste the good stuff.
Christiansted National Historic Site: If you love to roam through old architectures, this is the place for you. It has many structures, the most impressive being the 1749 Fort Christiansvaern, a 4-point citadel with deep yellow buildings on the east side of the town. Built with Danish bricks, the fort was a refuge for people during the onslaught of pirates, slave revolts and hurricanes. The fort gives breathtaking views of the sea. Nearby are the warehouses of Danish West India and Guinea Company.
Water Island: Water Island is sometimes referred to as the ‘Fourth Virgin’. It’s just a short distance from Charlotte Amalie and has only around 100 residents and a very few shops or cars, and so, seems to be far remote from the world. You get fine swimming and snorkeling at the Honeymoon Beach.
All in all, Virgin Islands present you an amazing holiday where you can stay at the Villa Marbella Suites and enjoy amazing sunset views and various luxuries, or enjoy the beauty of the islands. So, have you started planning for a USVI holiday?
